Automotive Resources International Forms International Fleet Leasing Corporation; Union To Increase Worldwide Access for Company's Fleet Leasing and Management Service

MT. LAUREL, N.J.--Oct. 25, 2000--Automotive Resources International (ARI) has formed a new corporation named Global Fleet Services (GFS) in an effort to broaden the company's reach worldwide. ARI, the anchor member of GFS, will now be able to provide vehicles to companies around the world.
GFS is comprised of the top leasing companies in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Nordic, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Colombia, and South Africa, all ranking in the top third of lessors in their respective markets.
With each company operating locally within its respective country, local laws, customs and needs are not overlooked when servicing clients. In addition, companies will no longer have to deal with multiple leasing companies to suit their requirements worldwide.
"With this new alliance, Global Fleet Services will be able to offer cost effective, customer-focused fleet service solutions to our customers like never before. We will have the ability to simplify their fleet leasing systems with our advanced global reach, allowing them to focus on the other tasks of running their businesses successfully," notes Philip Procida, chairman of GFS and managing director of international operations for ARI.
GFS has been built on the philosophies of the "Partners In Excellence" Program (PIE), the fleet industry's first quality assurance program. PIE thrives on the active involvement of employees and customers and is based on establishing regular and ongoing performance goals, tracking the continued performance of those goals, and reporting the degree of success in accomplishing the goals. With various goals being monitored, daily, monthly, bi-monthly, and annually, GFS and its customers have seen the development of new fleet management programs, enhancement of current software, creation of online tracking systems, and continued overall growth. GFS will also offer a communication and information system program that will give control of all fleet data with real-time capabilities to the end user.
GFS represents 35 countries with more than 750,000 leased and managed vehicles. ARI, as a member of GFS, offers a complete line of fleet services, from complete customization to programs and services that complement customers' in-house capabilities. Based in Mt. Laurel, N.J., ARI employs more than 700 employees in North America and manages more than 325,000 vehicles throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
