TRW Highlights Rack and Pinion Program, New Steering & Suspension and Brake Product Catalogs At AAPEX 2000 in Las Vegas
CARSON, Calif. - TRW Inc. will launch its new Steering and Suspension program under the AUTOSPECIALTY brand and highlight its remanufactured Rack and Pinion program to the North American independent aftermarket at the upcoming Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2000, in Las Vegas. TRW will be located at Booth No. 6038 at the Sands Expo Center and Power Stop products can be seen at SEMA Booth No. 11018.
The launch of TRW's AUTOSPECIALTY Steering and Suspension and previously announced Rack and Pinion program is a further step in becoming the leading provider of chassis systems to the global aftermarket. TRW company representatives will be available at the booth to discuss the new program, a significant development for TRW's aftermarket business.
AUTOSPECIALTY, TRW's North American aftermarket business located in Carson, Calif., provides Brake, Clutch and now Steering and Suspension parts and service in the AUTOSPECIALTY brand to the independent aftermarket (IAM). In addition to the Rack and Pinion program and its current Brake and Clutch parts and service, TRW will highlight its new 2001 Brake catalog and buyer's guide and unveil the new 2000 Steering and Suspension catalog at the show.
TRW's steering and suspension business operates 43 facilities in 17 countries. Currently, TRW-branded steering and suspension products are distributed into certain markets by Federal-Mogul Corp. These rights do not affect the Autospecialty-branded program.
In North America, TRW's AUTOSPECIALTY IAM business distributes brakes, steering and suspension and clutch products, manufactures disc brakes and brake shoes and remanufactures brake calipers. Products are marketed through the growing two-step distribution channel - wholesaler/installer - in the AUTOSPECIALTY brand.
TRW's aftermarket business delivers a comprehensive range of replacement parts for braking, steering and suspension and clutch systems covering all vehicle makes and provides diagnostic services, test equipment, training and technical support for specialist workshops and garages.
