Electric Auto Corp Offers Solution to National Energy Crisis

25 October 2000

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The new hydrogen Apollo(TM) Fuel Cell, manufactured by Electric Auto Corporation (EAC) and to be launched at the 2000 Fuel Cell Seminar in Portland, Oregon from October 30 to November 4, 2000, could provide a much-needed solution to the looming National Energy Crisis.

EAC's Apollo(TM) Fuel Cell has been designed to provide on-site power in homes and farms plus extra power which can be sold back to local electric utility companies, thereby paying for the initial cost of the Fuel Cell. The Fuel Cells will be available in limited quantities next year, and EAC plans to be in full production at a large Alabama former textile mill in 2002, in time to head off the coming National Energy Crisis. Ultimately Apollo(TM) Power Plants will form part of the propulsion system for EAC's new, full-performance, zero-emission, Sport Utility Vehicles which will offer energy efficiency without compromising range, speed, acceleration or cost.

The problem is a familiar one for US consumers and businesses, since electric utility companies all over the country are experiencing power shortages during peak hours, usually in the morning and afternoon, resulting in brownouts or blackouts. They simply cannot keep up with the growing need for electricity. The Power Plant Division of Electric Auto Corporation (EAC) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida has solved this problem by designing a new, inexpensive Fuel Cell which will be made available to millions of home and farm owners through their local electric utility companies. The excess power produced by the Fuel Cells can be fed back to the utility grid to solve the peak demand problem experienced by the utilities. The utilities will be glad to pay the home-owners a premium for this power which means that home-owners will be able to recover the cost of their Fuel Cells. This will in turn make it unnecessary for utilities to build new, mega-watt power plants, which must be fueled by atomic power, coal, oil or natural gas, all of which contribute to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

NOTE: Journalists are invited to attend a Press Conference to be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 30, 2000 at the 2000 Fuel Cell Seminar taking place at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon where the new Apollo(TM) Fuel Cell will be unveiled and Electric Auto Corporation will make a crucial announcement regarding product plans, pricing and availability. RSVP is required; please call Barbara Holan during business hours at 954/783-7050 if you plan to attend.
