The Hertz Corporation Introduces Last Minute Specials on Hertz.com

    PARK RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 24 The Hertz Corporation
, the world's largest car rental company, now offers "Last Minute
Specials" on car rental rates on http://www.hertz.com.  The special rates, for
select North American locations, are available for weekend and weekly rentals
of a variety of car classes.
    Posted every two weeks in the "Special Offers" section of hertz.com,
customers have approximately two weeks from the date of the offers' posting to
book these special deals.  The rates apply for car rental pick-up for
approximately one month after being posted on hertz.com.  To receive the Last
Minute Special rates, customers must request Rate Code (RQ code) LAST when
making reservations.
    Frank Camacho, Hertz Staff Vice President, said, "We're pleased to be able
to offer 'Last Minute Specials', which have some of Hertz' best rates, to
individuals with the flexibility to make travel plans on very short notice."
    In addition, Hertz Last Minute Specials are available through Yahoo!(R)

(http://travel.yahoo.com/t/specials/hertz.html).  To book a Hertz Last Minute
Special rate, Yahoo! customers simply click on the hyperlinked rate and they
will be taken to hertz.com's interactive rates and reservation page.  In order
to receive Hertz' Last Minute Specials, Rate Code (RQ code) YAHOO must be
entered when making reservations.
    Last Minute Specials, posted to hertz.com on October 16, 2000, are
available for car rental pick-up through November 13, 2000 when reserved by
12 noon on October 30, 2000.  Current Last Minute Specials include a
$199 weekly rate for a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) for pickup at Los Angeles
International Airport and $45 per weekend day for a minivan for pickup at
Orlando International Airport.  The above listed rates are subject to change
without notice.
