DriveLogic, Inc. Names Mark Smith as Director of Solutions Marketing

    CHICAGO--Oct. 24, 2000--DriveLogic, Inc., a subsidiary of CCC Information Services Group Inc. , announced today that Mark Smith has joined the company as Director of Solutions Marketing. DriveLogic's mission is to deliver industry-leading Internet and wireless solutions that provide unparalleled efficiencies to the automotive claims and collision repair industries.
    In this role, Mark will be working with insurance clients to help create new efficiencies in their claims processes using DriveLogic's solutions and technologies. "We are pleased to have Mark's level of experience with us at DriveLogic, as he will be an important and valuable asset to our team by helping industry participants realize the full benefits of our planned solutions," said Pradip Patiath, President and COO of DriveLogic. "His direct experience in the claims industry, combined with his extensive technological experience, will add a significant level of expertise to our team."
    Smith, 43, brings over 20 years of Information Technology and Process Management experience to DriveLogic, including significant expertise in implementing leading-edge solutions for claims management. Most recently, Smith led technology development and implementation at Progressive, the fourth largest writer of private passenger auto insurance in the United States. At Progressive, Smith managed innovative solutions development in field claims technology, including mobile computing and wireless-enabled services.

    Prior to Progressive, Smith spent eight years at Invcare, the leading manufacturer and distributor of home healthcare medical equipment. Mark served as Chief Information Officer at Invcare for four years. Smith, who holds a BS in Mathematics from Michigan State University, also led numerous systems development initiatives at Volkswagen of America.
