Wescast Industries Inc. Declares Dividend

    BRANTFORD, Ontario--Oct. 23, 2000--Wescast Industries Inc.has declared a dividend on its common shares in the amount of $0.12 per common share, and such dividend shall be payable on November 24, 2000 to shareholders of record at the close of business on November 3, 2000.
    Wescast Industries Inc. is the world's largest supplier of cast exhaust manifolds for passenger cars and light trucks. The Company designs, develops, manufactures, and machines high-quality iron and steel exhaust manifolds for automotive OEMs. In addition to auto parts, the Company produces pressure retaining high-alloy cast steel pump components for the petrochemical, pulp and paper and food processing industries.
