MAXIMUS Wins Major ASP Fleet Contract

MCLEAN, Va.--Oct. 23, 2000----MAXIMUS announced today that its CSI-MAXIMUS division, a leading provider of fleet and facility maintenance management systems, has been awarded a multi-year Application Service Provider (ASP) contract by Greyhound Lines, Inc. (GLI), the leading provider of intercity bus transportation in North America.
This contract is valued at more than $1.5 million.
Under the agreement CSI-MAXIMUS will become GLI's fleet application service provider, providing a complete turnkey solution for the maintenance and management of more than 2,600 buses at GLI and three of its subsidiaries, Vermont Transit, Valley Transit, and Carolina Coach. Future plans call for the expansion of the system to include Greyhound in Canada.
"This is a very exciting development in our relationship with Greyhound," said Jim Paulits, President of CSI-MAXIMUS.
"Because of advances in our technology, private sector companies such as Greyhound, can now access the MCMS(TM) application and realize the tremendous benefits of a fixed monthly cost, database management, lower infrastructure costs and reduced need for their IT staff to become involved in the day-to-day fleet maintenance operation.
"The improved flexibility achieved with the move of our MCMS(TM) processing to a UNIX environment will provide more timely and useful reports to our personnel, thereby achieving better fleet utilization," said Floyd Holland, Senior Vice President, Operations, GLI.
CSI-MAXIMUS secure data center, which is one of seven operated by MAXIMUS, has an uninterrupted power supply and is fully redundant. ASP customers can access their fleet management data 24 hours a day, seven days a week, over the Internet or a T1line.
Greyhound Lines, Inc. is the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation, serving more than 3,700 destinations with 21,000 daily departures across the continent. The company also provides package and courier express service, charter and tour services and food services at certain terminals.
CSI-MAXIMUS (formerly Control Software, Inc) is a leading provider of fleet management software in the country, and now lists some of the largest fleets in government agencies, private companies, public utilities, and mass transit agencies in its user community, with customers in the United States, Canada, England and Saudi Arabia.
MCMS(TM) is one solution available from CSI-MAXIMUS. In 1999, the company was acquired by MAXIMUS, one of America's largest government services companies devoted to providing state and local governments with program management, information technology and consulting services.

MAXIMUS has over 4,100 employees located in more than 130 offices across the United States.
