BorgWarner Declares Quarterly Dividend

    CHICAGO, Oct. 20 The board of directors of BorgWarner Inc.
has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 per share on all of the
company's issued and outstanding common stock.  The dividend is payable
November 15, 2000 to shareholders of record on November 1, 2000.
    Chicago-based BorgWarner is a product leader in highly engineered
components and systems for vehicle powertrain applications worldwide.  The
company operates 60 manufacturing and technical facilities in 13 countries.
Customers include Ford, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Toyota, Caterpillar,
Navistar, PSA and VW Group.
