The Afterschool Alliance is a partnership of public, private and non-profit groups committed to raising awareness and expanding resources for afterschool programs. Afterschool programs, such as the Afterschool Alliance, offer safe, constructive environments for children, and provide opportunities for positive interactions with peers and caring adults.
Education is one of the key national political issues of the 2000 elections. It is an issue that is of concern to most American families - many of whom are potential and existing Isuzu customers. With this in mind, Isuzu has joined into an unprecedented strategic partnership with The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to support the Afterschool Alliance and recognize the difference afterschool programs are making in the lives of kids everywhere.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation is the most successful charitable umbrella organization in Hollywood. Much of its success has resulted from connecting corporate America to Hollywood, raising more than $140 million for a variety of causes - from cancer research to the environment.
With Isuzu's help, the Afterschool Alliance is working diligently to raise the public's awareness about the vital role afterschool programs play in a kid's life. With a worthy cause that is high profile and the added visibility of high-profile Hollywood talent, The Hard Drive Sales Event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for eager young minds to become smarter and to "go farther."
