LeadingWay Corp. Teams With GM to Develop GM PartSmart

    IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 18, 2000--LeadingWay Corp. has been selected by GM Service Parts Operations to develop their PartSmart training program for dealership personnel around the country.
    The contract is valued at close to $6 million over three years.
    Mr. Lynn Ross, manager of Business Management & Sales Training for GM-SPO said, "LeadingWay was selected because they were the only company that offered us a Knowledge System solution that included building a knowledge base of our content that is scalable and sustainable for the long term."
    The PartSmart program has existed for 12 years as videotape-delivered training. Using its "Create Once, Knowledge Everywhere" technology, LeadingWay will create all the content as Knowledge Objects in one development effort and then produce the PartSmart training on an Internet Web site, CD-ROM, videotape and printed materials using LeadingWay KM Learning(TM), a software platform that provides integrated knowledge management, training and support systems on the Web.
    "LeadingWay KM Learning(TM) will provide GM-SPO with the ability to migrate to Web delivered content with no rewriting of content or increases in costs," explained Ross. "We can also update existing content quickly and inexpensively."
