LYNX Services Web Site Offers New Look, Online Services
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 18 LYNX Services from PPG, the insurance
industry's leading administrator of auto glass claims, has redesigned its web
site, http://www.lynxservices.com, to provide glass installers and insurance agents
24-hour access to job status, news and a variety of self-service options.
"We went directly to our customers to assess their needs," said Christine
F. Hasenfus, the LYNX Services senior account manager who administers the
site. "As a result, we've not only made the site easier for them to navigate,
but also provided them with an around-the-clock window to the information they
need to manage their businesses."
At the new site, glass installers can manage auto glass replacement or
repair jobs, check the status of payment on those dispatched jobs, sign up for
electronic fund transfers (EFT), and confirm their locations are active
participants in the LYNX Services program. All information for glass service
providers is located in the Installer Resources section of the site.
The site also includes information and resources for insurance companies.
Among its resources is a data mining tool insurance companies can license to
gain access to a history of their companies' claims, view information on glass
service providers, and analyze payments and other financial information. The
insurance-professional section of the site is called Client Resources.
LYNX Services was founded by PPG Industries, Inc. , in 1994 to
manage auto glass claims between insurance companies and glass installers. It
now handles more than 3 million auto glass claims per year, and its services
have expanded to include property loss and other damage claims, electronic
data interfaces, and EFTs.
