Les Schwab to Replace Firestone Tires Added to Recall ListPRINEVILLE, Ore., Oct. 17 Following the recall of an additional 1.4 million Firestone tires, Les Schwab Tire Centers said today that company dealers will replace the tires free of charge. Les Schwab dealers have been replacing the tires since they were listed under a federal consumer advisory last month. The tires, recalled yesterday under a multi-state agreement, were subject to a September consumer advisory by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Included are certain ATX, Firehawk ATX, ATX 23 Degree, Widetrack Radial and Wilderness tires. For a complete list of the tires affected, customers may consult their local Les Schwab dealer or procure a list from the NHTSA Web site at http://www.nhtsa.com. Tire owners wishing to replace tires listed under the recall may do so at any of the more than 300 Les Schwab locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Northern California, and Nevada.
