Auteo Media's ContactAuto Customer Relationship Management System, Presented at the AT&T Wireless Data Solutions Tradeshow
BELLEVUE, Wash.--Oct. 17, 2000--Auteo Media, Inc. (OTCBB:AUTM), a leading provider of point-of-purchase marketing and Internet-based services to the automotive industry, announced today that their showing of ContactAuto at AT&T's Data Solutions tradeshow was successful.
With more than 50 mobile data solution vendors present at the tradeshow, Auteo Media's Contact Auto system stood out as the only application directly targeting automotive dealerships.
"Contact Auto went over very well for a couple of reasons," said Mark Silverman, Business Manager, Wireless / Contact Management for Auteo Media, Inc. "Our market is targeted, and with a system designed specifically for auto dealership internet managers and sales executives, AT&T representatives were able to quickly view how ContactAuto would be of benefit to their auto dealership customers.
ContactAuto interfaces with cell phones and certain pocket digital assistants. Auteo Media previously announced their becoming a Data Services Provider for AT&T Wireless . ContactAuto users will be able to receive and respond to Internet e-mail leads and search their dealership inventory right over an AT&T PocketNet phone using AT&T's digital PocketNet service. Auteo Media will earn revenues on the sale and use of these devices.
By using Contact Auto, an internet manager or sales executive who is away from their computer or the auto dealership lot can pull-up an Internet e-mail lead and respond directly to it with their cell phone, sending the customer back a response within minutes rather than the hours or days it will often take. Internet car shoppers will typically send out many inquiries through various popular auto locator web sites, such as the company's www.autoloco.com, in order to find the best deal on the car of their choice. Statistics show that the auto dealerships with the quickest reply time to customer inquiries have a significantly higher sales capture rate. Immediacy in the response to a new Internet e-mail lead is critical.
"Contact Auto provides mobility and security to those in dealerships working with leads coming in from the Internet," said Steve Van Leeuwen, President, Auteo Media Inc. "During AT&T's data show, we were able to impress interested customers not only with the system's cell phone compatibility, but also with the complete and intuitive customer relationship management program that is the foundation of our offering."
