Easy Reservations Launches First Wireless Car Rental Booking Solution; New Application Paves Way for Premier Wireless Travel Company
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Oct. 17, 2000--Easy Reservations, a San Antonio, Texas-based full-service online travel agency, today unveiled the car rental industry's most comprehensive wireless application technology, putting the power of on-the-go travel reservations into the hands of consumers.Introduced during the CTIA Wireless IT 2000 conference, Easy Reservations' wireless product gives travelers the power to make car rental reservations from a full range of Internet-enabled mobile phones and WAP compliant personal digital assistants. While other companies allow users to view existing reservations or check availability, Easy Reservations allows customers to actually book, review or cancel car rental reservations from 10 major car rental companies located in airports around the world.
Easy Reservations' wireless product rounds out the company's portfolio of travel tools. Previously, reservations could be made using both Easy Reservations' toll-free telephone service, 800/292-5700, and full-service Web site, EasyReservations.com. Although the wireless application is initially focused on car rental reservations, the company plans to expand the service to cover all aspects of traveling, including hotel room and airline ticket reservations.

Using Easy Reservations' Wireless Application
Setting up and using Easy Reservations is a simple process. Before traveling, customers visit the Easy Reservations Web site and establish a personal profile on their computer desktops. The personal profile captures all travel-related information for each individual traveler, ranging from applicable corporate discounts and frequent rental membership numbers to preferred car types and preferred rental car companies.
When the personal profile is activated, it is recognized automatically by Easy Reservations' wireless application on the traveler's wireless device. Using an Internet-enabled mobile phone or PDA, consumers are able to compare car rental rates and availability at more than 100 airports worldwide, reserve rental cars, view existing reservations and cancel any car rental details. Customers receive immediate electronic confirmation directed to both the wireless device and computer email account.
