Yazaki and Convergence Education Foundation Partner for Training Next Generation of EngineersCANTON, Mich., Oct. 16 Yazaki North America, Inc. (Yazaki), a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the automotive industry, announced its support of the Convergence Education Foundation (CEF) at Convergence 2000, October 16-18 at Cobo Center, in Detroit, Michigan. CEF was founded by a coalition of automotive and electronics industrialists and educators with the belief that children should be provided with an early introduction to science and mathematics and motivated to pursue careers in technology. CEF's vision is to create a growing, enthusiastic community of students, educators and industrialists with a common objective of significantly improving the economic potential of future generations through their support of science and mathematics careers. Yazaki has contributed to the CEF booth financially through Gold Sponsor status at this year's Convergence, and has donated time and materials to build the CEF booth located in the Detroit Hall by the main entrance to the showroom.
