LOS ANGELES--Oct. 16, 2000--Rubber Technology International Inc. (OTCBB:RTEK) today reported revenues for third quarter of $345,000, compared to $84,000 in revenues for Third Quarter 1999.According to Trevor Webb, President-CEO, "Our sales have ramped up in all product areas, and we have rapidly increased our production capacity to keep up with the unprecedented demand for crumb rubber, which exceeded our expectations. We are pleased to be a part of solving the ecological problem of used tire disposal. Our sales and marketing efforts over the last six months are now coming to fruition, and the results are evident by our third quarter earnings."
Webb continued, "Now that the HR 122T Rasper has arrived, and is fully operational, we will be able to fill outstanding orders, and the sales will be reflected in our fourth quarters' sales figures."
During strategic planning for the future of the company, Webb has laid out the following, "The Heavy Rasper that we purchased from the Eldan company in Denmark is being shipped to us in November, and we have entered into discussions regarding placing an order for a second Rasper to add to our system in the second half of 2001."
Along with the second Rasper, Webb announced that the company would be acquiring additional Cracker Mills to nearly double the company's monthly crumb rubber production capacity.
