ADVISORY/ARM Showcasing Automotive Applications at Convergence 2000

    --

What: ARM, the industry's leading provider of 16/32-bit embedded
RISC microprocessor solutions, will be exhibiting and
demonstrating its embedded technology for the automotive
industry at the show floor at Booth #1187. Demonstrations of
ARM Powered(TM) applications include an in-dash MP3 player and
a power train application using ARM's CPU core and debug
    technology.

ARM will also participate in a TTTech presentation entitled
"Smart Electronics for By-Wire Systems" on Monday,
October 16 at 8:00 am. Topics include:

-- Trends in automotive electronics
-- Automotive "x-by-wire" systems
-- Definition of processing power
Where: Convergence 2000
    October 16 - 18, 2000
    Cobo Center, Detroit, Michigan
    Exhibition Booth #1187

When: Monday, October 16, 2000 - Wednesday, October 18, 2000

Who: ARM's embedded RISC technology and its microprocessor designs
are ideal for the automotive market. The company offers the
right balance between processing capability and system cost,
which enable automotive designers to either supersede existing
mechanical and electromechanical capabilities, or to integrate
new features into the vehicle at a significant cost savings.

    ARM licenses its high-performance, low-cost, power-efficient
RISC processors, peripherals, and system-chip designs to
leading international electronics companies plus provides
comprehensive support in developing complete systems. ARM(R)
microprocessor cores are rapidly becoming the volume RISC
standard in a wide range of applications, including
    automotive.
