Friction Management Services, LLC Names Eric J. Wolf to Lead New Joint Venture in Rail Business
    WEST CHICAGO, Ill., Oct. 13 Eric J. Wolf has been named
president of Friction Management Services, LLC, the recently announced joint
venture between The Timken Company and Tranergy Corporation.
Mr. Wolf was integral in bringing this project to completion, assisting The
Timken Company and Tranergy Corporation in forming the new company to market
TracGlide(TM), the patented intelligent top-of-rail lubrication system.
    "Eric brings a depth of knowledge and experience of both the rail industry
and this new top-of-rail lubrication system," says Vinod K. Dasari, president
- rail - The Timken Company. "He will be working closely with Tranergy
engineers and Timken sales associates to maximize the benefits of this new
TracGlide system for our customers -- including lower fuel costs, increased
productivity and reduced wheel and rail wear."
    Mr. Wolf has worked in the rail industry for more than 25 years.  He began
his career with TTX Company and held a variety of positions in Engineering,
Research, Quality Assurance and Maintenance Planning.  In 1996, he joined ABC-
NACO where he held the position of vice president - engineering. His
responsibilities included product development and product support for rail
products.  He is also an active member of the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers (ASME).
    A graduate of Purdue University, Mr. Wolf earned both a bachelor of
engineering science degree and a master of engineering science degree.  He
also received a master of business administration degree from Benedictine
University.
    "Eric's expertise in the rail industry plus his close involvement in the
formation of this new joint venture will allow Friction Management Services to
move forward quickly in working with major railroads and customers to market
this product," says Sudhir Kumar, Ph.D., president, chairman and founder -
Tranergy. "Under Eric's leadership, we believe customers will quickly see the
long-term value of this system."
