Qvale Expands to Dealer Network in U.S.

    SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 13 The Qvale Automotive Group
announced today that due to the increased dealer demand for its new Qvale
Mangusta 2+2 sports car, a decision was taken to significantly expand the
number of sales and service outlets in North America.  In order to accomplish
this in short order, a limited number of dealers have been selected to sell
the 2001 Qvale Mangusta, beginning November 1, 2000.
    "We wanted to begin responsibly, selling only through our factory stores,"
says President and CEO Bruce Qvale, "and therefore being able to ensure the
quality of our customers' purchase experience and their post-purchase service
on the Mangusta.  For the first ten months following our debut in Los Angeles
in January, we have been able to handle the sales and service in this fashion
through our three factory stores located in the key markets of Beverly Hills,
San Francisco, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
    "However," continues Qvale, "the increased demand for services points for
the Mangusta requires that we now look beyond our three factory stores to
satisfy the needs of our customers.  To cover the U.S. both sales- and
service-wise is our priority.  That's why we have now begun to establish a
dealer network in North America.  Factory stores were never intended to be a
long-term mandate, but made excellent business sense for a small, niche
manufacturer in the opening days of our sales operations in the U.S."
    The Qvale dealer body now includes showrooms and service centers in 10
states, from California to Massachusetts, from Florida to New Jersey -- a
total of 15 new Qvale dealers.  The Qvale Automotive Group's factory stores
will continue to operate, but Qvale Beverly Hills will be phased out to make
way for the new independent Qvale dealers operating in that market.
