GOODYEAR QUOTE: Tony Freund, lead engineer, stock car tire development:
"From a tire supplier perspective, we don't expect to see the new aerodynamic
rules for cars in this weekend's Winston 500 having any impact on Eagle tire
wear or to alter the tire temperature range we usually operate within.

"The tires we supply for Talledega are unique to this track and are the oldest
tire codes in our NASCAR race tire lineup. During the tires' introduction in
1997, the Winston Cup competitors ran a caution-free race. Good tire performance
at this restrictor-plate track is a known quantity.

On this weekend's race: NASCAR's new aero package should be the main story this
weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
