AutoZone Names Senior Vice President, MerchandisingMEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 11 AutoZone, Inc. , today announced Brett Easley, 42, has been named senior vice president, merchandising, customer satisfaction. In addition to his new role, Easley will continue to serve in his previous capacities as chief content officer and as president of ALLDATA, a wholly owned subsidiary of AutoZone. Easley joined AutoZone in 1984 as a product manager. He became vice president of merchandising systems in 1994 and was named vice president - information and training in 1997. In 1998, he was named president of ALLDATA. He was promoted to senior vice president in 1999, then named chief content officer this year. During his tenure, Brett has directed the introduction of AutoZone's electronic catalog, national warranty database and the flexogram system, which allows for the customization of inventory on a store-by-store basis. "Brett has played several key roles in AutoZone's history of growth, particularly in the area of merchandising," said AutoZone Chairman and CEO John Adams. "With him at the helm, we can expect continued innovation in putting the right parts into the hands of customers." Easley will report to President and COO Tim Vargo. AutoZone sells auto and light truck parts, chemicals and accessories through 2,915 AutoZone stores in 42 states in the U.S. plus the District of Columbia and 13 AutoZone stores in Mexico. AutoZone also sells heavy-duty truck parts through 49 TruckPro stores in 15 states, and automotive diagnostic and repair software through ALLDATA and diagnostic and repair information through alldatadiy.com.
