Command Audio Wins "Best California Private Innovation" Award From Transportation and Technology Executives

    REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--Oct. 11, 2000--

Award of Excellence for innovation and creativity given by California Alliance for Advanced Transportation Systems

    Command Audio Corporation today announced it has won the 2000 Award of Excellence for "Best California Private Innovation" from the California Alliance for Advanced Transportation Systems (CAATS) - a group consisting of transportation and technology executives. The honor is awarded to one company a year and was announced at the CAATS annual meeting this week.
    "The CAATS Award for Excellence is an powerful endorsement of the Command Audio on-demand/interactive audio service," said Command Audio CEO Don Bogue. "To be recognized by an organization dedicated to defining the future of transportation, and the deployment of technology to benefit travelers, demonstrates Command Audio's value to mobile consumers."
    Currently available in Denver and Phoenix test markets, Command Audio will be available nationwide through its partnership with Motorola's iRadio and will be marketed to automotive manufacturers at the end of next year. "Command Audio's in-vehicle functionality supports CAATS' mission to accelerate the use of information technology in the transportation industry," said Bogue.
    Command Audio won the Popular Science "Best of What's New" Award in the `Audio and Video' category in 1999 and Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) Engineering and Design awards in 1999 and 2000.
