Porsche Credit Corporation Implements Fiserv LeMans Complete Vehicle Financing Solution

    KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--Oct. 10, 2000--Porsche Credit Corporation (PCC) has streamlined its financing operations since installing the new Fiserv LeMans Complete Solution for Lease and Loan Portfolio Management earlier this year. Fiserv LeMans, a unit of Fiserv, Inc. , has been the premier provider of vehicle financing software and services to the automobile finance market since 1981.
    Porsche Credit Corporation, an affiliate of Porsche Cars North America, Inc., installed the system in April as it revved up for the 2002 debut of Cayenne, the new sport utility vehicle from Porsche in Stuttgart, Germany. The Fiserv LeMans system brought PCC support services up to the level of its high-performance vehicles.
    "It's quite an improvement over what we had before to what we have now," said Dennis Emanuele, Director of Credit Services at Porsche Credit.
    The Fiserv LeMans Complete Solution for Lease and Loan Portfolio Management is a suite of Windows(R) browser-based products that are fully integrated with LeaseMaster2 and LoanMaster, the Fiserv LeMans accounting systems. The new offerings manage the portfolio from booking through collections, inventory tracking, vehicles sold at auction, recoveries for end-of-term amount, customer service and title management.
    PCC management now has the ability to assign work lists, track user activity and plan for the future. Accounts can easily be queued for review and follow-up.
    "Auto queuing enables us to process the same number of accounts in considerably less time, thereby increasing our capacity," said Jim Ray, Director of Customer Services at Porsche Credit. For customers, one noticeable change is the introduction of a voice response unit (VRU) that handles requests for payoff amounts. About 500 payoff requests a month move through the VRU. The caller can easily opt out for the human touch, but Porsche Credit says most customers appreciate having easy access to their account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    So far, the response from customers and dealers to the new system is positive.
    "I don't hear anything," Emanuele said. "And when you consider we just installed a completely new system, that's a good thing."
