    CANTON, Mich., Oct. 10 Yazaki North America, Inc.
(Yazaki), a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the
automotive industry, announced today the appointment of William A. Wilson, Jr.
as president of its Components Business Unit.  Tetsuro Suzuki, president and
CEO of Yazaki, made the announcement today at the company's Canton, Michigan
headquarters.

    As president, Wilson will oversee all aspects of the Components Business
Unit, including product design and development, quality assurance, and cost
maintenance of Yazaki components such as connectors and terminals.  Wilson
came to Yazaki from United Technologies Automotive (recently purchased by
Lear), where he served as vice president of operations.  Wilson replaces Koji
"Daniel" Yoshinami who returned to Yazaki North America's parent company,
Yazaki Corporation in Japan.
