Unique Mobility Named One of Colorado's Fastest Growing Technology Companies in Deloitte & Touche 'Fast 50' Program
    GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 9 Unique Mobility, Inc. (Amex: UQM), a
developer of alternative energy technologies, has been named to Deloitte &
Touche's prestigious "Fast 50" Program for Colorado, a ranking of the
50 fastest growing technology companies in the state.  Rankings are based on
the percentage of growth in revenues from 1995-1999 (five-year period).
    Unique Mobility Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, William
G. Rankin, credited Unique Mobility's portfolio of state-of-the-art
alternative energy technologies and growth of its manufacturing operations for
the Company's 234 percent revenue growth over the past five years.  "Unique
Mobility is recognized worldwide as a leading developer of power dense and
efficient motors, generators and control systems for the emerging hybrid
electric and fuel cell electric vehicle and distributed power markets,"

    Unique Mobility's increase in revenues of 234 percent over the five-year
period of 1995 to 1999 resulted in being ranked 36th overall in the Fast 50
for Colorado.
    To qualify for the Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of
at least $50,000 in 1995 and $1,000,000 in 1999, must be public or private
companies headquartered in Colorado; and be "technology companies" defined as
companies that produce technology, manufacture a technology product, or
devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
