American Millennium Corporation, Inc. Announces New General Motors Order for Advanced Engineering Development and Satellite Airtime

GOLDEN, Colo.--Oct. 5, 2000--American Millennium Corporation, Inc. (OTCBB:AMCI) announced today that General Motors Corporation Truck Group has placed a new order for advanced engineering development and satellite airtime for vehicle interface boards designed and manufactured for GM by AMCI.
AMCI Chairman and Vice President of Business Development, Stephen F. Watwood, stated: "AMCI is providing the GM Truck Group (GMTG) with engineering and Subscriber Communicators (SCs) for deployment in their fleet of test vehicles. The systems track vehicle location and communicate remotely with the vehicle's data bus utilizing satellite communications, along with an Internet-based back-end software package." Additionally, Watwood noted that the GMTG encompasses GM's lines of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) such as the Jimmy, Blazer, Suburban, Yukon, and Tahoe, as well as small pickups, the Silverado and Sierra light trucks, the van and utility vehicle lines, and medium-duty commercial trucks.
"The new purchase order received from General Motors is significant to AMCI," said Andrew F. Cauthen, president and CEO of AMCI. "Not only does this purchase order expand AMCI's engineering commitment to the General Motors project, more importantly it approves additional monthly recurring revenue to AMCI. This one purchase order, which represents about $130,000 for the fiscal year 2000/2001, includes almost $70,000 of annual recurring revenue. Recurring revenue is the focus of AMCI's business model, as evidenced by the recent announcement of the sale of 1,000 tracking systems sold for fleet applications in Costa Rica, which will result in over $400,000 in annual recurring revenue when fully deployed."
According to AMCI VP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer Bruce R. Bacon: "The General Motors Truck Group (GMTG) has deployed AMCI's systems in their fleet of test vehicles. With one of these systems installed in the vehicle, from the desktop and using only a web browser, GMTG's staff can see where the vehicle is located on a map, view engine start and stop events, and communicate directly with the vehicle's onboard data network. The ability to have affordable worldwide wireless communication with the electronic modules in the vehicle is revolutionary. Near real-time access to vehicle diagnostic and operating data opens up all kinds of pre- and post-production opportunities," Bacon said.
It was announced in August that General Motors Corporation's Desert Proving Grounds (DPG) Group purchased AMCI's satellite-based systems for tracking and messaging for GM's race vehicles running the Baja 1000 annual off-road race event this November along Mexico's Baja Peninsula.
"We are pleased and excited to have General Motors as a valued customer of AMCI's North American operations. In addition to a marketing effort designed to build a solid customer base in North America and Costa Rica, we are anticipating a significant presence in Brazil and all of South America in 2001. We are currently building awareness and acceptance of our products and services in the vast South American market through an international sales and marketing alliance," stated Cauthen.
