	   IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 4, 2000--Mazda North
American Operations (MNAO) today announced U.S. sales of 23,728 units
for the month of September. 
	   Overall, Mazda's year-to-date sales total is 195,374, up 3.5
percent over the 1999 year-to-date figure.
