Logikos Announces the Formation of New Infotronics Unit

FORT WAYNE, Ind.--Oct. 4, 2000--Logikos, Inc., an advanced-technology services firm headquartered in Fort Wayne IN, has announced the formation of a specialty unit named Infotronics.
Logikos Infotronics, which will be unveiled in October at the Convergence trade show in Detroit, MI focuses on technologies that provide pervasive information access through the use of portable electronic devices, creating "Knowledge. Anytime. Anywhere." Logikos builds on a successful history of creating software for applications such as wireless communications, telematics, location-based services and mobile/multi-media, and has seen demand for these types of technology explode, necessitating the formation of a specialty unit.
"Technology advances in two ways," says David Baum, Senior Principal and newly appointed lead of the Infotronics unit, "You either develop a new technology and then try to find a home for it, or you find new homes in often unrelated markets for technologies that are already out there. At Infotronics, we partner with our clients to rapidly develop new products based on emerging technologies. Infotronics leverages the existing strengths of Logikos, and directs them towards new product areas."
Logikos, Inc. was founded in 1978, developing software for clients' electronic products in markets such as automotive, medical, and consumer electronics. With the formation of the Infotronics unit, Logikos continues to expand their services while maintaining their principles of quality and timely service provided by expert systems and software engineers.
