BorgWarner Cooling Systems Division Headquarters & Technical Center Makes Its Home in Marshall, Michigan    
    MARSHALL, Mich., Oct. 4 BorgWarner Cooling Systems has
selected Marshall, Michigan as the home of the division's new headquarters and
state-of-the-art technical center.  The building will house all North American
based research, technical, application and product engineering personnel and
administrative staff.  The synergistic environment will support BorgWarner's
plans for growth through innovative product leadership.

    This move will be mutually beneficial for BorgWarner and the
State of Michigan.  The location of the new headquarters in Marshall, Michigan
will improve BorgWarner's ability to attract and retain valuable talent.  In
an August 22, 2000, State of Michigan news release, Marshall Mayor John Miller
commented,  "BorgWarner's employees are highly skilled professionals - the
type of employees who make a significant impact on a community and local
economy."
    The 56,000+ square foot facility will be located on 5.3-acre lot, allowing
for future expansion.  Plans for occupancy are slated for October 2001.
