Popularity of E-ZPpass On NJ Turnpike Prompts Expanded Service Hours
SECAUCUS, N.J.--Oct. 3, 2000--To accommodate the growing demand for E-ZPass tags, the Regional Consortium announced today that it will expand hours at the Secaucus Customer Service Center and add location dates for the E-ZPass mobile van for instant enrollments."The response to E-ZPass on the New Jersey Turnpike has been tremendous," said Edward Gross, Executive Director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority. "And we want to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve to meet customer demands."
The E-ZPass Customer Service Call Center in Secaucus will be taking enrollments from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday for the remainder of this week through October 6th , and will open its doors Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The E-ZPass mobile van, which allows customers to sign up and receive a live E-ZPass tag on the spot, will be at the following locations:

-- | Oct. 3, Cheesequake Plaza, Garden State Parkway rest area 4 to 7 p.m. |
-- | Oct. 4-6, Turnpike Administration Building, Interchange 9, 7 to 10 a.m. |
-- | Oct. 10, Exit 5 on the Turnpike, at Cracker Barrel, 4 to 7 p.m. |
-- | Oct. 11, Molly Pitcher, southbound service area, 4 to 7 p.m. |
-- | Oct. 12, Joyce Kilmer, northbound service area 4 to 7 p.m. |
E-ZPass was launched on the entire 148-miles of the New Jersey Turnpike on September 30. The Regional Consortium successfully introduced E-ZPass on the Garden State Parkway in December 1999, on State Route 1 in Delaware in April 1999, and on the I-95 Delaware Turnpike and the Atlantic City Expressway (ACE) in New Jersey in November 1998.
