ArvinMeritor Announces the Appointment of Tom Gosnell To Senior Vice President and President, Commercial Vehicle SystemsTROY, Mich., Oct. 3 ArvinMeritor, Inc. today announced the appointment of Tom Gosnell to the position of senior vice president and president, Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS), effective immediately. He will replace Prakash Mulchandani who is retiring, effective Jan. 1, 2001. Before his appointment, Gosnell was senior vice president and president Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket. Gosnell reports to Bill Hunt, vice chairman and president of ArvinMeritor, and to the Office of the Chairman. As president of ArvinMeritor's Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket, Gosnell increased sales revenues by concentrating on developing a broader aftermarket product portfolio, delivering best-in-class service, and capitalizing and using leading distribution technologies. He joined ArvinMeritor's predecessor, Rockwell, in 1979 as purchasing manager for the company's Winchester, Ky., facility. Prior to assuming leadership of the CVS Aftermarket business, Gosnell held several management positions of increasing responsibility, including materials manager at ArvinMeritor's Winchester facility and plant manager in Florence, Ky. "Tom has a wealth of knowledge of the transportation industry and the kind of talent and experience that has transformed ArvinMeritor's highly profitable CVS Aftermarket business into a growth engine for the company," said Bill Hunt. Gosnell holds a bachelor's degree in pre-law from Denison University and a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
