LoJack Corporation Appoints Keith E. Farris Chief Financial Officer

    DEDHAM, Mass., Oct. 3 LoJack Corp. reported
today that it had appointed Keith E Farris, CPA to be the company's
vice-president and chief financial officer.  Mr. Farris had served in that
position at Arkwright Inc, Fiskville, RI, since 1996.  His experience in
corporate accounting spans more than 25 years beginning at Ernst & Young in
1974.  In 1981 he joined Digital Equipment Corp. and performed the full range
of corporate accounting duties with focus on such specific areas as
international activities, IPO spin-off activities and start-up manufacturing
operations.  At Arkwright Inc. his responsibilities included the company's
international operations as well as the full range of corporate accounting
activities.
    In announcing the appointment, C. Michael Daley, chairman, said, "We are
delighted to have a person with Mr. Farris' depth of experience on the
corporate level in major corporations join LoJack's management team.  We feel
that his experience in international operations as well as the operation of
start-up activities with companies will be a timely asset to LoJack."
    Mr. Farris replaces Maureen E. Kirby, vice-president for finance and
controller.
    "In deciding to leave LoJack, where she had served with distinction for 10
years, Maureen indicated that she wished to pursue opportunities as a
financial officer and participant in the field of start-up companies.  We will
miss her at LoJack and wish her well in her future entrepreneurial ventures,"
Mr. Daley said.
    Joseph F. Abely, president and chief operating officer, had served as
chief financial officer before the appointment of Mr. Farris.  Mr. Abely
remains as president and chief of operations at LoJack.
    Keith F. Farris received BS and MBA degrees from Northeastern University
and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and
the Financial Executives Institute.  He is married and has three children.
Mr. Farris and his family reside in Wrentham, MA.
