McLaren Performance Technologies Names Bianchi Public Relations For Automotive PRTROY, Mich., Oct. 2 McLaren Performance Technologies has selected Bianchi Public Relations, Inc. to assist in its automotive communication activities. The announcement was made by Larry Cohen, chairman of the board for McLaren Performance Technologies, and James A. Bianchi, president of the public relations firm. Bianchi Public Relations will provide automotive media relations assistance for Livonia, Mich.-based McLaren Performance Technologies and its business units: McLaren Engines, McLaren Traction, McLaren Vehicle Development and McLaren Manufacturing. Investor relations will be handled by McLaren on an interim basis. McLaren Performance Technologies -- which serves the automotive, racing, aftermarket and marine industries -- provides full-service design, development, fabrication, testing, validation and certification of automotive powertrains and related components, as well as development of traction systems. The company also offers complete vehicle development and prototyping capabilities. The company's 51,300-square-foot Livonia facility houses machining, fabricating and welding shops, engine and vehicle build areas. The company recently announced its intent to acquire Dart Machine Ltd. of Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada. In addition to its current business, Dart will provide a venue for McLaren Engines and McLaren Traction to manufacture aftermarket parts, including McLaren's Gerodisc(TM) traction control technology. McLaren Performance Technologies serves such automotive customers as Ford, General Motors, Delphi, New Venture Gear and Steyr Powertrain.
