Michael A. Henning Elected to CTS Corporation Board of Directors

    ELKHART, Ind.--Sept. 28, 2000--CTS Corporation chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, Joseph P. Walker, today announced the election of Michael A. Henning to the CTS Corporation Board of Directors effective October 1, 2000.
    Henning is deputy chairman, Ernst & Young LLP.
    In announcing Henning's election, Walker said, "CTS Corporation is extremely pleased to add a person with Michael Henning's experience and international tax expertise to our board of directors. CTS Corporation has experienced significant global growth over the past several years. We would expect Michael to provide invaluable input to the board on international tax, as well as other business and finance matters."
    Henning is a 1961 graduate of St. Francis College (Brooklyn) where he received his B.B.A. degree. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School, Class 102.
    He began his association with Ernst & Young in 1960, in New York City, where he interned while completing his studies at St. Francis. Upon graduation, he joined the audit staff and, in 1965, transferred to international tax. Henning was admitted to partnership in 1973. He became partner in charge of international tax in 1978, and managing partner of the New York office in 1985, serving major multinational clients including Coca-Cola, Eli Lilly and Wang. Henning was promoted to vice chairman-tax services in 1991, and two years later, was named co-chairman of the U.S. firm. He was appointed the first CEO of Ernst & Young International, a position he held until 1998 when he was named deputy chairman.
    Henning is on the board of St. Francis College and Saint Francis Preparatory School. He is also a member of the New York State Society and American Institute of CPAs; and has served as chairman of both groups' international tax committees.
    Henning, his wife, Cathy, and family reside in Long Island, NY.
