    ANDERSON, Ind., Sept. 27 Denise M. Lee has been named Vice
President of Sales for the Automotive Systems Division of Delco Remy
International, Inc. .  She will oversee worldwide sales of
passenger car, light truck and light industrial Delco Remy brand products for
original equipment and service applications.

    Delco Remy America President, Richard L. Stanley, welcomed the veteran
automotive industry sales executive to the company, saying, "Denise
understands all aspects of our industry, and she has excelled in directing
growth and customer satisfaction throughout her distinguished career.  Her
arrival is good news for our company's growth potential and for our
customers."
    Ms. Lee brings 25 years of automotive industry sales experience to Delco
Remy.  She has been Vice President of Sales and Customer Satisfaction at New
Venture Gear, based in Troy, Mich., since 1997, where she oversaw $1.4 billion
in annual sales.  Previously, Ms. Lee was also Vice President of Sales and
Marketing for Seat Belt Systems at TRW Vehicle Safety Systems and Director of
Sales at ITT Automotive.
    Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Oakland
University, a JD from Detroit College of Law and an MBA from the University of
Detroit. She is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and a member
of the State Bar of Michigan.
