i2Go Partners with General Motors To Create Interactive Marketing Program For Pontiac/GMC Consumers

i2Go Suppling Interactive MP3 Player and Web Site To Enhance Customer Relationships and Deliver Internet Audio Programs to Car Owners

    i2Go, the pioneer of interactive audio technology, today unveiled a Pontiac\GMC-i2Go, co-branded Web site as part of a General Motors marketing program that utilizes i2Go's portable digital audio player and software platform to enhance customer relations and satisfaction.
    As part of Pontiac/GMC's promotional "Sound Values" program, i2Go created a special-edition digital audio player that will be given to consumers who buy a Pontiac Grand Am or Sunfire or GMC Jimmy or Sonoma.
    i2Go also launched an interactive Web site (www.PontiacGMC2Go.com) where a new car owner can download music and news programs, and take it with them while "on the go." The site wil enable users to download audio content from the Internet onto their new players.
    "This program is a good way for i2Go to continue to extend the reach of Internet audio to the car," said i2Go CEO Sam Johnson. "The effort is also a great example of how our interactive technology, coupled with a digital audio device, can improve relationships with customers and provide an exciting feature for new car buyers."
    The "Sound Values" program also involves a separate promotion in which car owners can win up to a year's worth of car payments based on use of the Web site, located at www.PontiacGMC2Go.com.
    "i2Go is providing a key component of this promotion, given its experience in developing Internet audio products for the car," Sheila Powell, the Regional Divisional Marketing Manager for Pontiac/GMC in GM's South Central Region. "Working with i2Go, we've taken Pontiac Excitement and GMC's customer-driven focus to provide our customers with an exciting, quality audio opportunity so they can listen to their digital music both in and out of their vehicles."
    Participating vehicle owners who use the digital audio player will be able to receive audio updates about Pontiac/GMC products and services when they access the co-branded Web site. They will also have the ability to interact with personalized audio programming to learn more about the news stories and music available for download.
