BOLDER Technologies Lands Craftsman(TM) Product Contract

BOLDER Technologies Lands Craftsman(TM) Product Contract; Sears to Launch New Portable Jump Starter in October
    GOLDEN, Colo., Sept. 27 BOLDER Technologies Corporation
announced that it will produce a Craftsman Portable Jump
Starter under an agreement with Sears Roebuck and Company .  Shipment
of this new product will commence immediately to all 860 Full Line retail
stores, according to Roger F. Warren, chairman, president and CEO.
    Warren stated, "We are delighted to combine the superior starting power of
BOLDER's award-winning Thin Metal Film (TMF(R)) technology and the Craftsman
brand in this new jump starter product.  The Craftsman brand is recognized as
a market leader in tools, hardware and automotive products.  Under the
agreement with Sears, the Craftsman Jump Starter will be widely promoted
during the fourth quarter of 2000 and we anticipate an increase in the market
share of BOLDER's Jump Starter products."
    Andy Ginger, Sears vice president of Brand Marketing, said, "We are very
pleased to incorporate the outstanding characteristics of the TMF(R)
technology into the Craftsman family of products.  No existing product comes
close to matching the engine starting capability of this product in such a
small, lightweight package that is also very user friendly."
    The Sears Craftsman Portable Jump Starter is based on the SecureStart(TM)
Portable Jump Starter and is a small, lightweight, rechargeable device that
can provide an instant engine start on a dead battery in a car, truck, tractor
or boat.  Like the SecureStart(TM), the Sears Craftsman product features a
built-in flashlight and cable clamps for jump starting, weighs less than five
pounds, can be easily stored in any vehicle and recharges in minutes.
