26 September 2000

VERNON, BC - The CASCAR Castrol Super Series wrapped up its 2000 racing
season on Saturday night with the Miller & Wyatt AC Delco 150 at Vernon,
BC's new Sun Valley Motor Speedway. Sherwood Park, AB racer Kevin Dowler
took the lead from Carl Harr on lap 66 of the 150 lap contest and led the
rest of the way to win both the race and the 2000 Castrol Super Series West
championship.

At the finish, Dowler's Ford Quality Care Taurus was .38 seconds ahead of
Harr's GM Goodwrench Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Carl Harr's son Daryl, a former
Super Series West rookie of the year, completed the podium finishers in the
season finale.

It was the second career Super Series West championship for Dowler. Heat
wins at Sun Valley Motor Speedway went to Trevor Seibert and Dowler. A
capacity crowd of almost 7,000 racing fans crowded the new half-mile track
for the Miller & Wyatt AC Delco 150.
