Position at Redwood Shores Company
Ensera Inc. (www.ensera.com), a leader in automating the automotive collision repair marketplace, continues to recruit top talent and build its management team with the appointment of John C. Schwinn as chief operating officer.
"John brings to his position a strong background in business development, strategic planning and operations in information technology, consulting, insurance and automotive services," noted Anthony Aquila, Ensera's founder and chief executive officer.
"His industry knowledge and insights will be invaluable as we develop new Internet-enabled products and services to create a more efficient, cost-effective process for insurance carriers, repair facilities and parts/materials suppliers," Aquila added.
Prior to joining Ensera, Schwinn was vice president of business development, with the Claims Solutions Group of Automatic Data Processing Inc. In that position, he directed the business development and strategic planning activities for the $300 million division, which provides information technology products and services to the insurance, collision repair, auto recycling and healthcare industries.

Earlier in his career, Schwinn was a senior manager in the Strategic Services Financial Services practice at Andersen Consulting, where he led Andersen and client teams in addressing significant strategic and operational issues. For example, Schwinn supervised the re-engineering of the claims department of a major personal lines property casualty insurer.
As a senior associate in the Financial Services Practice at Booz, Allen and Hamilton, he participated in a number of general management consulting assignments in the United States and abroad, including the design and implementation of new operating procedures for the customer service and account reconciliation organizations of a non-U.S. pensions administrator.
Schwinn holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.S. in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science; and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
