Bridgestone/Firestone Statement Regarding Ford's Recommendation Of 30 PSI for Ford Explorer 
    NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 22 The following is a statement by
Chris Karbowiak, Vice President of Public Affairs, Bridgestone/Firestone:

    "We are very grateful that Ford is taking this extra step to ensure
customer safety.  We believe this recommendation is in the best interest of
everyone.  We will continue to support the recommendation of 30 PSI in hope
that Ford will take the extra step of conveying this information to all of its
Explorer customers."
