CTS Corporation Announces Formation of Application Specific Networks Product Group

ELKHART, Ind.--Sept. 22, 2000--CTS Corporation today confirmed it has established an Application Specific Networks Product Group for its Resistor/Electrocomponents business headquartered in Berne, Indiana. The product group will address critical market demand for high frequency data bus termination for both computer equipment as well as communications systems.
High frequency data busses require electronic termination to reduce transmission losses and signal distortion and, at times, provide bias voltage. The newly formed CTS product group will design high frequency bus termination networks for those markets demanding high performance data transmissions. Tim Hartigan, vice president and general manager, CTS Resistor/Electrocomponents, said, "The new group has been charged with bringing all CTS proprietary technologies to bear in providing solutions for our customers' high frequency bus termination needs."
CTS Corporation will work closely with major original equipment manufacturers, to both define and beta test the new products. The first in a series of high frequency termination products is expected to be announced in late Q4 2000, with additional announcements throughout 2001.
