Dana Unveils Technical and Customer Support at Farmington Hills Grand OpeningFARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 21 Dana Corporation today celebrates the grand opening of its new 110,000 sq. ft. Customer and Engineering Support Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Laboratories are equipped with high-tech noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) testing capabilities, a chassis dynamometer within an anechoic chamber and a four-post actuator for road-test simulation. Materials and product-testing laboratories specialize in bearing, gasket and other engine system component testing in a variety of conditions. "This facility combines the best of Dana's automotive sales, engineering and research and development departments in one strategic location to best serve our customers," said Bill Carroll, Dana Corporation Automotive Systems Group president. "The goal of the Customer and Engineering Support Center is to provide a new level of customer service in the Detroit area and offer our customers dramatically enhanced technical support." In addition to technology testing, the facility also showcases special exhibits on fuel cells, space frames and magnetic pulse welding technologies. Dana customers also have access to a state-of-the-art auditorium and product display center.
