    MEDFORD, Ore., Sept. 20 Lithia Motors, Inc.
announced that in the month of August (the first full month under Lithia's
management), Saturn of Eugene posted a 92% increase in new unit sales compared
to the same period last year.
    Lithia purchased Saturn of Eugene in July of 2000 and is the exclusive
Saturn dealer in the Lane county, Eugene, Oregon region.
    Sidney B. DeBoer, Chairman and CEO of Lithia Motors, stated, "We are proud
to be the exclusive Saturn dealer in this attractive mid-sized market.  This
is our second Saturn store in Oregon.  Eugene is a college town where Saturn's
brand and pricing structure should be very attractive.  By executing Saturn's
