CCC Introduces Recycled Parts Services; Recycled Part Information Updated Daily To Benefit User
CHICAGO--Sept. 20, 2000--CCC Information Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CCC Information Services Group Inc. , the leading supplier of solutions to the automotive claims industry, announced today the introduction of Recycled Parts Services (RPS), a location and pricing tool that provides daily updated information on recycled parts available from suppliers nationwide. The data provided by RPS is refreshed daily, providing users with instant access to current information.RPS, which is optionally integrated into CCC's Pathways(R) Appraisal Solution, provides access to detailed, market-specific recycled part price and location information from a database of over 1,000 parts suppliers. Information may be requested according to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), or by specifying a year, make, and/or model of a desired vehicle, allowing an appraiser to locate a recycled part in a specific zip code, or to retrieve information from a customized list of suppliers approved by his or her corporate office.
In conjunction with Pathways Appraisal Solution, RPS helps streamline the process of building estimates by providing access to up-to-date, thorough parts information, eliminating the need to manually search and document the location and price of parts. RPS part information is catalogued by the VIN so that the right part is located for the right vehicle. This combination ultimately facilitates more timely return of cars to customers, improving customer satisfaction.
