Dollar Appoints Executive Director, International Sales

    TULSA, Okla., Sept. 19 Dollar Rent A Car Systems, Inc. has
appointed Robert M. Barton to the newly created position of Executive
Director, International Sales.
    Barton will be responsible for generating inbound tour and wholesale
business for the DOLLAR(R) system.  He will be based in Florida's Division
Headquarters in Tampa and report to Dollar Systems, Inc., Executive Vice
President, Peter Guptill.
    Barton joins Dollar from his former position as Vice President, Tour and
Travel with Budget Group, Inc., where he was responsible for the worldwide
development of the tour and wholesale activity for Budget Rent a Car and its
subsidiary, Cruise America.
    Barton earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Alfred
University, located in Alfred, N.Y., in 1983.
    Dollar Rent A Car has approximately 430 worldwide locations in
26 countries, with a significant presence in Australia, Canada, the Caribbean
and Latin America, including 260 locations in the United States.  The company
