Cohesia Corporation Receives Fourth Grant From National Science Foundation for Advanced Development of Cohesia IntelliDoc
DAYTON, Ohio--Sept. 19, 2000--Privately held Cohesia Corporation announced today that they have been awarded a fourth grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for advanced development of its next-generation specification language ... Cohesia IntelliDoc(R). Using semantic-enriched XML, Cohesia IntelliDoc enables manufacturers of complex, highly engineered products to capture and electronically communicate detailed, granular content of specifications ... unlocking the potential of supply chain management applications for process industries. The first generations of Cohesia IntelliDoc are being implemented throughout the metals industry with partners such as Bethlehem Steel, U.S. Steel, Allegheny Technologies, and Haynes International."Having proven Cohesia IntelliDoc in individual enterprises, the next logical application is to use the Cohesia IntelliDoc data representation standard in conjunction with the e-business marketplace," stated Dan Z. Sokol, Cohesia's President and CEO. "We are in the pilot phase in this arena with MetalSite(SM), the leading Net Market Maker for the metals industry, and are in negotiations with leading supply chain management companies to incorporate this revolutionary technology into their products." The grant is effective as of September 1, 2000. The NSF is the prestigious Federal organization that supports scientific and engineering research in the United States.
