Dennis E. Foster to Join Yellow Corporation Board; Ronald T. Lemay to Join Transportation.com Board
    OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Sept. 19 Yellow Corporation
announced today that Alltel Corporation Vice Chairman Dennis E.
Foster has joined the Yellow Corporation Board of Directors.
    Concurrent with the appointment of Mr. Foster, Ronald T. LeMay will leave
the Yellow Corporation board to join the Board of Directors of
Transportation.com, an Internet transportation services company funded by
Yellow Corporation and venture capital firms TL Ventures and EnerTech Capital
Partners.  Mr. LeMay, 54, President and Chief Operating Officer for Sprint
Corporation, has served on the Yellow Corporation board since 1994.

and equally pleased that Ron LeMay has decided to lend his considerable
management expertise to the job of building Transportation.com into the clear
Internet transportation services leader," said Bill Zollars, Chairman,
President and CEO of Yellow Corporation.
    Mr. Foster, 59, has served as Vice Chairman of Alltel Corporation since
1998.  Alltel is a $6 billion wired and wireless communication and information
services company based in Little Rock, Ariz.  Mr. Foster was President and CEO
of 360 Degrees Communications from 1996 until its 1998 merger with Alltel.
Prior to joining 360 Degrees Communications, Mr. Foster served as President
and Chief Operating Officer of the Sprint Corporation Cellular and Wireless
Division.  Mr. Foster is also a member of the NiSource, Inc., Board of
Directors.
    Mr. LeMay has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Sprint
Corporation since 1996.  He served as CEO of the Sprint Telecommunications
Venture from 1995-96 and was President and Chief Operating Officer of the
Sprint Long Distance Division from 1989-95.  He also serves on the boards of
directors of Imation Corporation, AllState Corporation, and Ceridian
Corporation.
