Ford Selects Federal-Mogul to Supply Replacement Brake Drums and Rotors SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 18 Federal-Mogul Corporation , has been selected by Ford Motor Co. to supply brake rotors and drums for use by Ford dealer service departments as replacement parts on Ford passenger cars and light-duty trucks. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20000525/DETH025LOGO ) The rotors and drums will complement the Ford Motorcraft Preferred Value line of brake friction materials, which Federal-Mogul has supplied as original equipment service (OES) parts for Ford vehicles since October 1999. "With Federal-Mogul's knowledge of manufacturing and distribution in both the original equipment and aftermarket channels, and the proven success of the Motorcraft Preferred Value friction product, the team of Ford and Federal-Mogul has developed a strong replacement product offering." Federal-Mogul will produce the rotors and drums at its manufacturing facility in St. Louis, Missouri, and will distribute them through its Tullahoma, Tennessee, distribution center. Federal-Mogul will supply the components to some 230 Ford authorized distributors, who sell replacement parts to more than 5,000 Ford dealers in the United States and Canada.
