Ensera, Inc.'s Management Team Expands -- Thomas Lyons Joins as Vice President of Financial Services

    REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.--Sept. 18, 2000--

Experienced Commercial Bank Financing Executive To Focus On Industry-First iON Claims(TM) Progress Payment System for Silicon Valley Company

Ensera, Inc., www.ensera.com, today announced the addition of another executive to its management team as it continues to develop an automated solution for the collision repair industry. Thomas Lyons was named Vice President of Financial Services, a new position, announced Anthony Aquila, Ensera's founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Lyons' primary responsibilities will involve serving as a key interface for financial institutions with Ensera's innovative iON Claims(TM) payment solution.
"Ensera's continued success is dependent on adding savvy professionals from a variety of disciplines to complement our leading-edge technology," said Aquila, who founded the company in December 1999. "Tom's extensive background in finance, and his specific focus in commercial banking, should allow us to implement the iON Claims(TM) solution rapidly and smoothly."
iON Claims(TM) is designed to enable insurance carriers to make payments quickly and directly to repair facilities, suppliers, and car rental companies during the repair claims process. Through iON Claims(TM), the funds for each individual claim are held in an escrow account by a financial institution ready to be distributed to the commercial participants.
Lyons joins Ensera having arranged more than $1.1 billion in commercial bank financing for MotivePower Industries, Inc. and its successor by merger, WABTEC Corporation , a $1 billion global manufacturer of locomotives and locomotive parts. As Vice President and Treasurer of MotivePower, he served on the boards of 12 of the company's diverse subsidiaries, assisted in the valuation and analysis of five acquisitions, managed the disposition of the company's assets in Argentina, and oversaw the daily operation of banking, cash management, foreign exchange and insurance functions.
"By automating the claims payment process, Ensera's iON Claims solution will liberate enormous value for insurers, repair facilities, and suppliers," said Lyons. "Of course, I'm proud to be working on this important component in Ensera's suite of solutions. I'm really excited, though, to play a part on this great team of people who set out to change the world everyday."
Prior to MotivePower, Lyons served in the International Project Finance Office of Morrison Knudsen Corporation . He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and master's degree in International Management from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
