AutoTradeCenter.com Launches Internet Remarketing Program for American Suzuki Motor Corp.
Business EditorsSCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Sept. 15, 2000--AutoTradeCenter.com Inc. (OTCBB:AUTC) Friday announced the successful launch of the web-enhanced vehicle remarketing program for American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC).
The company's Internet program, known as the Suzuki Program Remarketing Online (PROline) provides a new remarketing channel for the sale of Suzuki vehicles returning from national daily rental fleets, exclusively to the American Suzuki franchise dealers.
PROline is designed to provide efficiencies to both American Suzuki Motor Corp. and its more than 380 franchised dealers by offering the vehicles for sale to its dealer body much earlier in the selling cycle than traditional remarketing methods.
Tim Finley, national fleet and remarketing manager, American Suzuki said, "Suzuki PROline affords the most direct channel to reach our dealers and provide the inventory they need to make their used vehicle retail sales plan. We know that diverse remarketing channels provided by AutoTradeCenter.com give our dealers the best of the Internet tools and total dealer support services."
AutoTradeCenter.com company president Roger Butterwick stated, "The Suzuki PROline is the automobile industry's first Internet remarketing program to feature the highly desirable 'nearly new' rental vehicles prior to auction delivery. We are delighted to pioneer this revolutionary process with American Suzuki Motor Corp., by providing a direct channel between Suzuki and their franchise dealers.
"Utilizing ATC's leading Internet technology and dedicated PROline remarketing team gives Suzuki a competitive edge. ATC plans to assist Suzuki in leading the industry with the most efficient and effective means to remarket their vehicles."
The Suzuki PROline, currently in the first week of its pilot, offers select inventory from national marshalling locations to American Suzuki franchise dealers participating in the pilot. The program is the first to incorporate the ATCadvantage, the company's most recent release of Internet remarketing tools.
Colette Marcilliat, vice president marketing, AutoTradeCenter.com said, "The ATCadvantage affords Suzuki the means to quickly web-enable their national remarketing program with a wide array of custom vehicle behavior selections, 'preferred' viewing and purchase options, as well as the flexibility to alter the program as Suzuki's needs change.
"We understand the dynamics of a rapidly changing vehicle volume and a growing franchise dealer body. ATCadvantage remarketing tools keeps today's remarketer in the drivers seat. The Suzuki PROline Website is private, `branded,' and secure. It is designed to deliver unparalleled inventory control and a more effective dealer direct sales process."
American Suzuki Motor Corp. joins American Honda Finance Corp. in utilizing AutoTradeCenter.com's Internet technology and remarketing services.
Finley continued, "We have witnessed the success of Honda's program powered by AutoTradeCenter and we know we are working with a proven remarketing team. ASMC fully expects to achieve our company objectives by coupling the PROline program with traditional remarketing channels. There is great demand for our 'nearly new' off-rental vehicles from our dealers' retail stores.
"This direct delivery of these vehicles is simply better business for our dealers."
